German Shepherd teaching Owner to jump A-Frame

A-Frame Training for Owners

(There is a video at the bottom of the blog)

Hi - Indy here.

Really, I must be patient! My owner Patricia is so slow to learn (John is not much better).

On Saturday it was training day at our new place at the Polo Club off the Kragga Kama road in Port Elizabeth.

We German Shepherds were trying to train our owners to jump over the A-Frame.
It was my job to teach my owner, Patricia. She has a lot to learn but she tried her best.

First I explained to Patricia what to do. The picture shows me going first - I am trying to get Patricia to follow me.

Indy tries to show Patricia the way

But then disaster strikes!

Patricia falls on her ******** Well, lets say she sits down - fast.

(That is Brett politely looking the other way)

Oh dear ...... Oh dear

I will have to show Patricia again how to do it. Watch this!

I must be patient - Patricia will learn ... I hope! Scroll Down

John (my other owner) took the pictures. He has gone into hiding.

Bye for now!

A Love Story from the Bush War in Zimbabwe

A Love Story from the Rhodesian Bush War! John has written it! It is very short. John has put it on Amazon. Here is the link. John was born in Southern  Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and it will always be home for him, even when he is on the other side of the world. The setting is the Matopos - the mysterious range of granite hills with their balancing boulders.

Dog jogging to the Golden Gate in San Francisco

Hi

I am back.

Patricia and John have been lucky enough to go to San Francisco several times to visit their son Mark. A great treat is to walk along the sea front to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Guess what? It is a special place for us dogs too - you will see why.

Have a look at these two pictures.

Below is a picture of Mark and Patricia on their way to the Golden Gate Bridge. At the base of the Bridge there is a point where joggers must stop and turn back. It is the same for us dogs.

Below is a picture of the place on the building at the base of the Bridge where joggers and us dogs touch the wall with our hands and paws and jog back. The sign for our paws is at the bottom of the picture.

As a place for dogs San Francisco gets 10 out of 10!
