John's Musical Tribute to Quakers
John composed this a few month ago. He hopes you enjoy it.
Here is what John thought:
"Quaker Dawn. Written in four short parts. Hopefully the music (although way far from perfect and very amateurish) shows that almost excruciating soft gentle compassion can have a steel and resolute backbone, both buttressed by independent thought. All this resulting in a life of quiet practical compassion guided by the Light."

Cecil the lion killed - Warning: This will upset you
Cecil the famous lion has been killed in Zimbabwe.
Please Google: Cecil lion
See what is on the web
In Google, click on images for pictures of Cecil.
Click on this link as well.
Do your research responsibly.
Words cannot express how outraged I am about what happened, according to news reports.
To those who say: "Why are you so upset about the death of a lion when millions of innocent people are dying throughout the world?" my answer is: "We should of course be more outraged when innocent people are killed and I hope we are and always will be. But lets stick to the point - this blog is about Cecil the lion who was killed in Zimbabwe recently.

Bluebelle's Chair
Hi
Bluebelle is a beautiful young German Shepherd who lives with her owner Eva in Port Elizabeth at Arieva German Shepherds. Bluebelle tells me she really loves Eva and it is great staying with her. But - there is the chair issue.
Bluebelle has SMSed me that she is not allowed on her own chair! I think this is the problem: All German Shepherd owners must understand that all the chairs in the house belong to us. This means we can sit on any chair at any time for as long as we want to. No argument. All German Shepherd owners please note: GERMAN SHEPHERDS RULE.
Here is a picture of Bluebelle on her own chair.
And below is young Bluebelle on the floor after being told to get off her own chair - not all that happy I must say.
Really this must stop. Bluebelle must get her chair back.
Take me for example. I stay with Patricia and John. It took them months to understand (no offense meant -they are human) that all the chairs in the house are mine. Below is a picture of me waiting to watch "Animal Planet" - the only worthwhile series on TV.

Cheetahs Feeding - Table manners
Patricia, John, Rosanne and Anna watched cheetah feeding at the Kragga Kamma Game Park yesterday. Its a great Game Park. But the cheetahs! Such squabbling over the food. They should all get some training at my German Shepherd Club - learn some good table manners. I would soon get them into line. The first thing I would do would be to make them sit with the meat balancing on their noses before eating. Good eating discipline is what those cheetahs need.

John and Mozart
Here is John playing the theme from Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. Playing it John's way! I don't know if Mozart would approve but one thing is for sure - John is a huge, huge fan of Mozart. John says that for him, Mozart opens a window into another world.
Yes - the picture is of the Kromme River in South Africa.
